The Blue Poppies waken in a vibrant, sudden show.
They spring from the earth with a passion deep and true,
A shocking splash of heaven, a perfect, piercing blue.
Not born of the common soil, nor woven like the rest,
But wearing the color of the skies upon their crest.
A sign and a wonder! A miracle in bloom,
Dispelling every shadow, chasing away the gloom.
They shout of a glory that the heart can scarcely hold,
A beauty more precious than the finest vein of gold.
So stand in their presence, let your spirit soar and sing,
For here is the evidence of the wild and risen King.
In this burst of wonder, see the Father’s heart displayed,
A masterpiece of mercy that His loving hands have made.
