A Sign and a Wonder: The Glory Show
Like every season, a sign and a wonder;
The Rhododendrons of Vancouver Island produce a glory show.
A very sign and a wonder for all to take delight in,
A masterpiece of color, a vibrant, living hymn.
For in this burst of beauty, a promise rings so true,
Of faithful love and mercies that every morning are new.
So lift your eyes and let your heart receive this giving,
“I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
You are my hiding place. You always fill my heart with songs of deliverance.
You are my refuge, a sure, safe place, My heart You fill with songs of grace. Whenever I am beset by fear, I will put my trust in You, always near.
So let the weak say, in faith's bright light,
"I am strong" in his great might. For I can do all things, I'm made complete,
Through Christ who strengthens me, from my head to my feet. You are my shield, my glory, the One who lifts my head high, In your deliverance, I will soar like eagles and fly. Here in your shelter, where my soul is kept, I'll dream of Your deep love while the world has slept.I lay down in peace, and in Your presence rest, For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety, here in this place I am truly blessed.
