I will rest under the dogwood tree and reminisce over the goodness of God. Yes his forever protection and shelter that covers me with beauty. I am enveloped with a canopy of light and resplendence that overwhelms my inmost place. I sit and ponder to myself what a wonder in these delicate flowers that stately express such magnificence. God is my refuge, a retreat for my soul where life and its pressures cannot take their toll. His mighty branches like wings watch over me, a shelter they provide. I sit here under this heavenly dogwood tree, and I feel his wrap around joy. I am reminded of his holiness and safety his love brings. I feel sheltered in his presence. Whenever I am weary. The shelter of his presence is a perfect place to hide. God’s love will protect me, I will not be harmed for He has me encased in His everlasting arms. God is my refuge, a safe harbor to which I flee. when I'm being tossed upon the storms out at sea. When I need strength, for the troubles I get in. I always turn to the Lord my refuge from within! God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The only place to be is in the shelter of his loving presence. - Cydney
