The lion sits with quiet might,
No need to roar, no need to fight.
He holds his power in reserve,
A king who knows whom he must serve.
The elephant, with steps so slow,
Watching the rivers gently flow.
Through heat and thirst, she waits her turn,
With lessons that the wise will learn.
The zebra stands in lines of peace,
Where panic and where striving cease.
The cheetah rests, though built for speed,
Taking only what implies a need.
All creatures great, from plain to height,
Walking in a calm and holy light.
No wild impulse, no sudden rage,
But wisdom found on nature’s stage.
For strength is not in force or haste,
Nor in the moments that we waste.
But in the spirit, still and whole,
The royal grace of self-control.
