The Mountain Lion: Strength in Stillness
High upon the rocky ledge, a shadow in the gold,
The mountain lion watches, with a spirit wise and bold.
He does not rush with foolish haste, nor roar with empty pride,
But waits in silent majesty, with power deep inside.
His strength is not in chaos, nor in a wild display,
But in the calm and steady gaze that guides him on his way.
A master of the waiting game, he knows the time is near,
For patience is the weapon that conquers doubt and fear.
He holds his power in reserve, a disciplined control,
A quiet, burning fire that emanates from his soul.
He knows that self-control is might, a bridle on the will,
To stand composed and confident, to be completely still.
So let the Spirit guide your steps, on mountains you must climb,
And trust the Father’s perfect plan, His perfect, chosen time.
For in the fruit of patience, and the strength of self-control,
You find the lion’s courage to sustain your weary soul.
