Dear Friends,
The air we breathe is thick with noise, and in the busyness of life, we are often our own worst critics. I want to talk to you today about something profound that took me years to truly grasp: words have power. Everything that comes out of our mouth releases a frequency that can either limit or create our future.
I know this journey intimately. For many years, I allowed little negative comments of doubt about myself—even down to my size or my abilities—to roll off my tongue. I thought they were harmless self-deprecations, but they were actually blocking me from reaching my goals. It wasn't until a spiritual mother, whom I honor dearly, confronted me that I understood the power of my words. She would automatically reverse anything negative I said with the beautiful, steadfast truth over my life. I’ll admit, it drove me crazy at first, because no one likes being proven wrong or confronted about a behavior. But I realized it wasn't just a bad habit; it was a negative mindset that needed to be laid down for the Lord to heal and restore.
Healing starts with the company we keep. I know to this day I only surround myself with women who build me up in my strength and my weakness, and who always call out the gold when they see my thought process about myself taking a wrong turn. These friends hold the mirror of truth up to you, reminding you of who God says you are, not who the world says you are.
Transforming Your Thoughts into Truth
What are some thoughts you need to lay down today and transform with truth? A beautiful practice I have done through my life is this: for every negative thing I would believe about myself, I would write down a list of truths and promises of what God says about me. Truly, that is all that matters. You have permission to exchange the lies you’ve believed for the last 10, 20, or 30 years for the eternal promises of God.
This transformation is deeply rooted in a foundational scripture, where we learn to partner with the heart of God and call forth the reality we desire:"The God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were." (Romans 4:17)
We can decree and declare good things ahead for you, letting your words shape your future by calling the truth into existence.
A Decree and Declaration of Identity
Today, we decree and declare over your identity, seeing yourself as God sees you:
-
I am fearfully and wonderfully made; every detail of my life is intentional and perfect.
-
I am clothed with splendor and majesty from the inside out.
-
I am God's masterpiece, adorned with brilliance that will never fade.
-
I am a new creation in Christ, forgiven and free of shame and condemnation.
-
I walk in power, love, and a sound mind; fear has no authority over my heart.
-
I am sacred, matchless, and unstoppable in my purpose.
-
I am a royal priesthood, a chosen one, a peculiar people, and His special possession.
-
My worth is secured in the love of the One who holds all things together, not in what I produce or accomplish.
-
I am redeemed, victorious, and filled with resurrection power that breaks chains and restores my spirit.
-
I can decree a thing, and it will be established for me; the light shall shine upon all my ways.
This is why our scarves are transformational. Did you know that every single scarf that I design has a powerful decree and declaration on it that will not only shift your world but shape your future? There's power in what you say, and there is power in what you wear. Perhaps you need to let go of some negative surroundings and make sure you surround yourself with friends that will only speak good and truth over you.
With love and expectation,
Cydney
