To my dearest friends and fellow LPL travelers,
I wanted to take a moment today to share something deeply personal that has been a steady anchor for our family. Many of you know my mother, Kathy, and have seen the radiant peace she carries. I recently asked her about the secret to her JOYFUL spirit, and she shared with me that it all begins with her morning conversation with the Almighty God.
She wrote this prayer not just as a set of words, but as a living testimony. It was born from a place where she decided that "Joy Joy Joy" must come first, because in that light, there is simply no room for fear or doubt to breathe. For Kathy, this prayer is "real"—it is her way of standing on the foundation of a sound mind and a heart that recognizes the Shepherd’s voice every single morning. She wrote these words to remind herself, and now all of us, that we are created for a purpose and wrapped in a love that never fails. It is based on her favorite psalm- Psalm 23
Before I share her heart’s cry with you, I have to share a little laugh. A friend of ours recently told Kathy, "I’ve finally reached the age where my back goes out more than I do!" We can all certainly appreciate those seasons where the body moves a little slower, but the spirit only grows swifter!

Praise to our Creator, Lord, Yaweh, The Almighty One.
Every morning at waking and through this day
I can only rejoice with shouts of gladness,
My joy is to have breath, a beating heart and eyes that see
the glory of creation, ears that recognize the sounds of
your voice Lord. I am filled with thanks because
you gave me life from before the foundation of the earth!
